WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING AT ALLIANCE?

My favorite part of working at Alliance is knowing that I am part of an outstanding team that is making a difference for our patients. Through an individualized approach of interventional pain management and excellent customer service, we are paving the way for a better life for others, and I am making a difference in someone’s life every day.

WHAT IS THE BEST COMPLIMENT YOU HAVE RECEIVED FROM AN ALLIANCE COLLEAGUE?

The best compliment that I’ve received from a colleague is that I am a hard worker and dedicated to caring for others.  Being there for someone and caring for others are two of the greatest gifts we can give.  While we cannot truly know how someone feels without walking in their shoes, we do know when we put a smile on their face.  A simple smile shows compassion to others and is contagious, so don’t forget to smile today!

WHICH ALLIANCE VALUE (COMPASSION, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE, & SERVICE) BEST REFLECTS YOUR QUALITY OF WORK AND WHY?

While I feel I possess several characteristics of all the Alliance Core Values, I was honored to receive the Core Value Award for Service in 2017. To this day, I am still so proud and appreciative of this recognition and the acknowledgement of achievements that link directly to our organization’s purpose, mission, and values.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

My first job was working as a server at a locally owned family restaurant when I was a teenager.  This job taught me the importance of great customer service. As a server, I was attentive and polite while greeting the customer upon arrival. I answered questions, offered recommendations, and accurately processed food and beverage orders. I did light food prep and cleaned the dining area.  I took customer payments, communicated information about the community, and gave directions to help customers with their travel plans.  I still apply these skills in my work environment and ethics today.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO OUTSIDE THE OFFICE?

I love being outdoors and traveling to small mountain towns within driving distance to explore history, find outdoor adventures, and enjoy God’s beautiful creation of nature. Whether it is a hike at Amicalola Falls State Park to see the highest waterfall in Georgia, an outing to Helen or Blue Ridge GA for whitewater tubing or a train ride, a trip to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge TN for fun attractions and activities, or a local outing to a ball game, I always enjoy being outdoors.

WHAT’S A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF THAT MOST OF YOUR CO-WORKERS DON’T KNOW?

A fun fact that my co-workers probably don’t know about me is that my favorite food is ice cream.  I’m such a softie for ice cream, and enjoy it anytime.  I always say, “You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream!” Eating ice cream leaves me feeling calm, satisfied, and happy!  It’s my go-to food during happy times, celebration times, hanging out with family and friends, stressful times, and just me times.

Did you know that if you prefer a cone with your ice cream, you are an optimist and a positive thinker?  If you prefer a cup of ice cream, you are a realist.  If you prefer a sandwich ice cream, you are eccentric.  If you prefer toppings on a sundae, you are ambitious.  How do you prefer your ice cream?
